My Story
I spent more than 18 years as a school administrator in Ontario. I know what it feels like to carry a school on your shoulders. The early mornings, the difficult conversations, the constant pressure to be present for everyone around you while quietly running on empty yourself.
Mindfulness did not come to me as a concept. It came as a necessity. It was the practice that helped me stay grounded through the hardest days of my career. It changed how I made decisions under pressure, how I showed up for my staff, and how I led my school community through difficult times.
After 18 years of doing this work inside real schools, I built Grounded Leadership to bring that same steadiness to administrators. Not as a theory. Not as a wellness trend. As a practical, evidence-informed approach to leading yourself first so you can lead others well.
